The Precision Recruitment International is hiring a Senior MERL, for Pemba.
Duties
- Lead and coordinate the work of MERL staff across the entirety of the project portfolio (develop work plans, staff evaluation and mentorship);
- Contribute to the design of new projects and programmes (new proposals ensuring that an adequate MERL budget is allocated to each new proposal);
- Provide ongoing technical support and mentoring to project/programme managers and their field staff on the collection of output monitoring data;
- Lead the design and rollout of project/programme studies and evaluations;
- Work with members of the MERL and project/programme teams to determine optimal approaches to data visualisation and the dissemination of findings to donors, partners and beneficiaries.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field;
- 5+ years of experience in monitoring and evaluation of development projects (rural economic development, community health and/or Early Childhood Development);
- Proven leadership and team management experience (mentoring junior colleagues on the design and rollout of MERL systems);
- Extensive knowledge in proposal design, Performance Measurement Frameworks and SMART indicators;
- Exceptional communication skills with fluency in written and oral English and Portuguese;
- Willingness to travel to remote areas within Cabo Delgado province and other northern provinces on a regular basis.
