Intern: Agile Practitioner

  • This position includes a non-renewable fixed term contract of 1 (one) year;

Role purpose: As an intern with the Agile coaching team you will be assisting with the organisation-wide adoption of Agile. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of departments understanding their function and gaining a great insight into how the teams are transforming to this new way of working. You will assist in changing the team dynamics to become customer focused, high performing and self-managing. This will entail helping with training and coaching sessions using various tools to support the implementation of Agile principles.

 

Key accountabilities and decision ownership

  • Assist and support with co-ordination implementation of Agile Practices;
  • Assist and support with co-ordination in tracking, monitoring and coaching team members on delivering results;
  • Arrange and assist with co-ordination facilitation of Agile workshops in different teams;
  • Handling with co-ordination administrative tasks such as conducting meetings, facilitating collaboration, and eliminating hurdles affecting project progress;
  • Manage and grant with co-ordination all Agile governance documentation including playbooks of different processes, reports, etc.

Core competencies, knowledge and experience

  • Analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Self-driven towards achieving goals;
  • Strong communication skills (both written & verbal) across various levels;
  • Must be curious and be constantly willing to learn;
  • Good IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio etc.).

 

Must have technical / professional qualifications  

  • Full Secondary Degree;
  • Relevant diploma or degree in Information Systems Technology.

Key performance indicators

  • Must be assertive about adherence to Agile processes and enthusiastic about Agile practices and their benefits;
  • Ensure all relevant Agile governance documentation are timeously loaded and available in the specific platforms (confluence, one drive, Jira, etc.);
  • Ensure quarterly reports with Squads findings.
