AMSCO Mozambique Lda is recruiting for its client, a prestigious company that operates in the automotive sector, an Auto Mechanic, for Maputo.
Job Overview
Auto Mechanics are required to repair and maintain different types of vehicles, such as lorries, trucks, buses, heavy vehicles, cars, motor cycles, etc. They perform restorative and preventative work on gears, brakes, engine, air conditioning, security features, fuel pump, etc. They test new vehicles to find faults and carry out routine servicing of cars.
Responsibilities
- To trouble shoot the vehicles complaints using diagnostic softwares;
- Diagnoses, repairs and overhauls engines, transmissions, components, electrical and fuel systems, etc. for various vehicles;
- Performs tune ups, brake jobs and other preventative maintenance on vehicles, replaces common parts and makes adjustments;
- Assists in the writing of specifications for acquisition of parts;
- Responds to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service;
- Ensures that actual hours worked are in line with set targets;
- Carry out any other duties as directed by superiors.
Profile
- Ability to work without supervision;
- Valid driver’s license;
- Understands high level of safety in the workshop and sites;
- Ability to speak read and write Portuguese;
- Good communication skills;
- Flexible;
- Have good manual dexterity;
- Have a suitable fitness level;
- Having excellent knowledge about motor technology;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Have good concentration;
- Excellent time management skills;
- Have strong interest in motor vehicles;
- Excellent customer care skills;
- Carry out any other duties as directed by superiors.
Qualifications
- Basic Certificate in Auto Mechanics;
- Secondary School;
- Must have previously held a Foreman role;
- 8 Years’ experience as a Auto Mechanic for all types of vehicles both in the workshop and site;
- Age Limit: 30 + Years;
- Salary budgeted Range 25.000,00 Meticais;
- Excellent communication and analytical skills;
- Required Languages: Portuguese & English.
