The Save the Children is hiring a Program Manager – Beira Corridor for Maputo.
Description
The Program Manager will manage implementation of an anticipated four-year large-scale funded consortium program and lead the team to strengthen the food and nutrition security of small scale food producers in Sofala and Manica, in the Beira Corridor region. Special focus will be given to sustainable productivity and income of small scale food producers. Hiring is contingent upon successful award of the project.

Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in a relevant field (development studies, international relations, Agriculture, economics, nutrition, public health, business administration, marketing, etc.).
Experience and Skills
Essential
- Specific technical expertise in food and nutrition security and resilience, or market oriented-small holder producer programming;
- Proven ability to lead multi-sectoral, complex programs of a similar size and scope, preferably in Mozambique or Southern Africa;
- At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience leading and implementing Netherlands or other donor-funded international development programs;
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with host governments, donors, other donor-funded projects and stakeholders, local organizations, and partners;
- Ability to review and ensure accuracy of complex budget and expenditure formats;
- Demonstrated experience recruiting, developing, and managing staff, as well as experience managing programmatic and Financial Reporting;
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently;
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills in English;
- Portuguese or Spanish a strong advantage. Must be willing to learn Portuguese.
Desirable
- Knowledge of the local environment and culture;
- PMD Pro (Project Pro) is added advantage.
