Key Responsibilities

EVAC & Campaign

  • Develop and lead operationalization, measurement and documentation of WV-Moz’s advocacy interventions/actions to EVAC and/or in the context of the Campaign & Faith Engagement.
  • Ensure data is collated, analysed and utilized for policy change.
  • Provide technical guidance and support for TPs’ and  Projects’ incorporation and roll out of EVAC/Campaign, ensuring that Spiritual Landscape Analyses findings are incorporated in TP designs for appropriate Faith Engagement responses.
  • Lead and operationalize office’s contribution to empowering and equipping local communities, State, Government and CSO actors in tackling violence against children (VAC).
  • Proactively represent WV Mozambique in external EVAC/ Campaign/Faith Engagement forums.
  • Contribute specialist technical knowledge to strategy development/review, implementation and review processes.

Faith Engagement

  • Promote relations/partnerships with churches, faith leaders and faith institutions as WV-MMoz’s “distinctive” in its contribution to EVAC/ in the context of the Campaign  to achieve far-reaching, sustainable change

Facilitate intra and inter faith engagements and programming to accelerate to efforts to EVAC / in the context of the Campaign

  • Provide technical support and guidance to intra and interfaith platforms for public engagement on issues around EVAC/Campaign
  • Establish and cultivate strategic partnerships and alliances with faith actors that are attentive issues of social concern and contributing to social cohesion and creating environments where EVAC Campaign and other advocacy initiatives may thrive and deliver change.
  • Develop and oversee implementation of EAC/Campaign focussed advocacy capacity building plan for faith actors.
  • Plan and coordinate capacity strengthening of Faith actors to ensure informed, collective and concerted planning and accelerated actions on EVAC and other advocacy to improve  child well-being – with integrity and impartiality, bearing in mind diversity of religious traditions and context sensitivity.
  • Develop, disseminate and provide orientation to NO and frontline staff on guidelines for mainstreaming of Faith Engagement to EVAC/in the context of the Campaign.
  • Support intra and inter faith initiatives organized by Government and others and identified as potential/actual catalyzers of efforts to EVAC /in the context of the Campaign.
  • Facilitate deeper engagement with churches, faith leaders and faith institutions in advancing their role in social accountability, especially through CVA, to bolster efforts to EVAC in close coordination with CVA technical Manager and other field staff and partner organizations.

Impact, Evidence and Learning

  • Prepare and submit reports and data for reports and Strategy implementation review tools  as required.
  • Contribute to Baseline and Evaluation processes, including reviewing the design to ensure that all relevant technical indicators are incorporated.

Funding Acquisition

  • Lead technical input to  proposal development processes in A&EE, Programs and GAM.
  • Model World Vision’s core values, demonstrating Christ centred leadership and regularly participating in spiritual nurture activities within the organisation.
  • Any other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
