Semente & Victorino Consulting (“SVC”) is a strategy and consulting firm focused on Human Resources Consultancy, Provision of Temporary Labor and Corporate Immigration Service, whose mission is to provide strategic and innovative business solutions to its clients, with the aim of promoting and facilitating their domestic. Within this scope, SVC is currently recruiting a Business Development Consultant (M/F) for its client in Maputo.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that performance measurements are done according to the soft skill policy and code of conduct standards;
  • Manage and control feedback to clients;
  • Ensure that all work is up to standard and correctly performed;
  • Ensure new sales and business reports (both for retail and corporate) are sent on a weekly basis;
  • Ensure pending and open tender reports are sent on a weekly basis as per Senior National Sales Manager requirements;
  • Ensure newspapers are read on a daily basis to identify any potential new business opportunities;
  • Ensure monthly retail business target is achieved;
  • Maintain the broker channel and ensure deliverables are aligned to company standards;
  • Ensure acceptable TAT;
  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets;
  • Focus on corporate and retail customers;
  • Assist Senior National Sales on designing and implementing strategic business plans that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence, based on the day-to-day experience with the customers;
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting retail customers relationships at partnering with them and understanding their needs;
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status;
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications and maintaining personal networks;
  • Attend events and campaigns whenever is needed.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Technical Certification or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field;
  • Experience in direct sales;
  • Proven experience in the insurance sector is advantageous;
  • Deep knowledge of Insurance products and carriers;
  • Proven experience in the medical aid sector is advantageous;
  • Must perform independently and under pressure;
  • Must possess effective organizing and coordinating skills;
  • Treat sensitive information confidential;
  • Attentive to details;
  • Relevant industry experience and knowledge of the company’s market;
  • Highly motivated with a drive to succeed and a passion for sales;
  • Target driven;
  • Fluent in both Portuguese and English.
