- Marine Transport Supervisor
Role:
The Marine Transport Supervisor has the responsibilities and duties of the marine operations in the Business Unit.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all marine operations are conducted to the highest standards in line with Eni LOGIS, HQ marine requirements, National & International legislation and Industry Best practice;
- Follow and oversee the vessel loading and unloading when the vessel is berthed at quay;
- Follow and oversee the vessel bunkering activities ensuring the quality and quantity of fuel supplied to the vessel by MGO Providers;
- Oversee the marine fleet performance and vessels fuel consumption using the vessels daily report;
- Manage operationally the fleet, giving instructions to the vessels crews about the daily activities that the vessel shall perform;
- Liaise with Contractors, to ensure that the marine operations conform with the Company directives especially in terms of safety, environment, schedule and quality.
- Prepare the technical specification for tenders and perform the technical evaluation of the proposed vessels with the support/validation of LOGIS HQ;
- Perform Marine KPI Analysis in order to monitor the technical and operational performance of the vessels and implement continuous improvement processes;
- Provide technical assistance for budget & cost control;
- Vetting and reporting of potential new hire vessels;
- Plan and carry out Company’s periodical inspections and technical audits of vessels and finding follow up to ensure that they are being operated at the highest standards;
- Assure the constant monitoring of maritime law and regulations coming into force;
- Provide suitable instructions and guidelines and disseminate marine know‐how at all level in the Company.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Marine transport Supervisor shall have a degree in Naval engineering or similar marine professional qualification;
- 10 Years professional experience in Offshore marine activities in the Oil & Gas sector including oil terminal and tanker operations;
- Good knowledge of relevant rules, regulations and standards;
- Good knowledge of risk processes;
- Competencies:
- English language and multi cultural understanding
- Problem‐solver with demonstrable corporate, operational and project team skills
- Solution oriented and strong decision-making abilities
Workplace: Onshore Pemba base
