CIS is hiring for its operations in Mozambique One (1) QHSE Officer to be based in Offshore Project in Pemba.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Control and ensure the application of all QHSE aspect on site.
- Ensure the safety training and toolbox talks as per the training matrix.
- Performing QHSE training as per the basic QHSE and Food Safety training plan.
- Promote a QHSE culture among all employees of the operation site.
- Implement and control all QHSE programmes and projects.
- Record daily QHSE controls.
- Record all data, including key performance indicators.
- Conduct job safety analysis and reports to QHSE Manager all update required.
- Supervise personnel and upgrade their safety skills.
- Keep QHSE Manager informed about all the complaints and suggestions.
- Develop and maintain good working relationship with customers.
- Ensure that all incidents and damages are reported to superiors immediately and proper procedures are followed.
- Realize all safety and health record-keeping systems.
- Conduct daily inspections of all areas ensuring highest possible standards.
- Circulate incidents and non-conformities investigation reports.
- Attend QHSE work meetings.
- Report to QHSE Supervisor if documentation is not complete, accurate or not matches process.
- Report to QHSE Supervisor incident alerts and reports.
- Ensure respect of current work practices on site.
- Control the QHSE performance of sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Follows up and advises all the teams regarding the quality assurance and quality control activities.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree certificate in HSE/ QHSE and food safety (including HACCP) certificate.
- Proficiency of the native language.
- Computer skills of Microsoft Office applications.
- Spoken and written English will be an added value.
Experience
- 2 years working in offshore with quality, occupational health, safety, and environment systems. or
- Minimum of 5 years working with quality, safety in food industry or Catering operations.
Personal Skills
- Must be rigorous, resistant, tenacious, able to work on their own in isolated conditions and environment.
